Off road enthusiasts are invited to be among the first to experience off-roading at Ober Gatlinburg. Take your adventure to new heights during Ober the Top Off Road, a two-day celebration of Tennessee's highest off-road trail.

For two days only Ober is opening the mountain to all trail capable off-road vehicles for trail rides up to the top of the Challenge Lift at 3,208 feet in elevation. The Challenge Trail offers 562 feet of elevation gain while navigating service roads up the mountain. There will be challenging obstacles along the way for those looking for a little more excitement.

Some Event Rules and Requirements have changed. Please confirm you meet the requirements (listed below) prior to purchase.

Trail, Views, & Photo Ops

The scenic views along the ride offer the perfect backdrop for photos. Upon completion of the trail ride, drivers will receive an exclusive Ober the Top Off Road sticker to commemorate their ride.

The fun doesn't stop with the trails. Families can enjoy the Adventure Park's attractions, scenic chairlift rides, Mountain Coaster, Bobsled Run, Wildlife Habitat, shopping and plenty of activities throughout park, making it easy to spend the entire day on the mountain.

Food, Music, & More

Between trail rides, stick around for live entertainment throughout the weekend and fuel up with featured food specials, including the hearty Wrangler Burger and Ober's signature 419 Frozen Lemonade. Enjoy a cold Yee-Haw Beer and relax in the outdoor greenspace.

  • Sunday, Aug. 23: Mike Snodgrass from 1-4pm

Requirements for Participation:

  • Driver must be 18+ and have a valid driver's license.

  • Passenger must be 18+ and limit of two people per vehicle (1 driver, 1 passenger).

  • Full-size vehicles (Jeep, Bronco, 4-Runner, Land Rover, trucks, etc.) and SxSs welcome

  • Must have 4-wheel drive, be in low during the drive, and have at least 8" of ground clearance. Off-road tires recommended, minimum of ≥ 4/32" tread depth.

  • Vehicle must be street legal with valid insurance (driver must be policy holder).

  • Vehicle must be driven onto the property − No trailered vehicles may be brought up.

  • Any/all items in vehicle must be secured if vehicle doors are off or if vehicle doesn't have doors.
